Prepare for Installation
Prep Battery Wiring
Remove OEM tape and carefully split red/black battery wires for routing
Cut wire sleeve back just enough to allow flexibility (avoid damaging insulation)
Organize Hardware
Sort bolts by size and match 5 large mounting bolts with lock washers
Set aside additional spacers for controller frame mounting
Install EBMX Controller
Mount Motor Phase Wires
Yellow → far left terminal
Green → center
Blue → right terminal
Hand-tighten with Allen wrench (do not use power tools)
Mount Battery Power Wires

Black → left terminal
Use supplied bolts and lock washers with Loctite
Tighten snug, not over-torqued
Install Controller to Frame
Use included spacers and bolts
Apply Loctite to all threads
Reinstall plastic tray and brackets
Ensure wires are routed cleanly and not pinched
Harness & Accessory Wiring
Install Sur Ron Harness
If you have a different brand electric dirt bike (E-Ride Pro, Talaria, etc) confirm that you have your EBMX adapting harness, if one is needed.
Install adapter to bike harness
Connect harness (or adapter) to controller input port using alignment notches and arrows
Optional: Wrap with electrical tape for weatherproofing
Secure Unused Plugs
Tape off unused connectors and tuck away securely
2-to-1 Splitter Installation
Connect to display and regen thumb throttle
Route cables cleanly through frame
Install Bluetooth Dongle
Plug into controller and secure away from metal for best reception
Cable Management
Use zip ties to secure wiring to frame and brake lines
Avoid over-tightening to allow minor wire movement
